Janata Curfew was peaceful in Solan and Sirmaur while policemen, deployed at the inter-state barriers, ensured that no vehicle from other state entered the district.

SP, Sirmaur, Dr RK Pruthi and SP Ajay Krishan Sharma visited various bordering areas like Paonta Sahib to ensure that janata curfew was peacefully observed. No traffic was observed within the district and at the inter-state barriers.

SP, Baddi, Rohit Malpani said a case under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code for disobedience of an order was slapped against Pratap Singh, Dalveer Singh, Ramesh Kumar, Pawan Kumar and Tek Chand for violating the prohibitory orders. They were also charged with violation of Section 144 of theIndian Penal Code and a case was registered at Barotiwala police station.

The Baddi police, however, stopped some trucks coming from Kalka at the inter-state border at Baddi last night.
