Una, September 11

All five occupants of a car died after it collided against a roadside poll and toppled into the fields in Una district in early hours of Sunday.

The occupants were travelling from Santoshgarh towards Una when the accident took place at Kuthar Kalan village.

The deceased have been identified as Rajan Jaswal, Aman, both from Saloh village; Vishal Chaudhary, a resident of Majara village; Anup Singh, a resident of Jhalera village; and Simran Jeet Singh, a resident of Hajipur in Punjab’s Ropar district.

While Rajan and Aman died on the spot, the three others succumbed to their injuries at the district hospital in Una.

The police sent their bodies for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur condoled the deaths.
