Dr Thakur extended congratulations to the entire district health team for this significant recognition and urged all officers to continue striving for excellence. He reviewed the monthly reports submitted by Block Medical Officers (BMOs) and assessed the progress of various health schemes and initiatives running under the aspirational district programme.

During the meeting, Dr Thakur emphasised the importance of registering all road accident cases online as per the Road Safety Act. He said that GIS mapping of ambulances reaching accident sites is being implemented. In Himachal Pradesh, 242 ambulances are operated under the National Health Mission and 14 by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) through the 108-emergency service.

He also directed all BMOs to actively facilitate the Mukhyamantri HIMCARE Yojana, a flagship health insurance scheme of the Himachal Pradesh Government. He directed that the eligible beneficiaries must be enrolled for yearly health cards in the months of March, June, September and December.
