Folk artistes raise awareness on AIDS at Jubbal bus stand.

An awareness programme on AIDS was organised by folk artistes at Jubbal bus stand on Tuesday. Through this programme, locals were apprised of the testing, precautions and counselling on AIDS. As per the directions of the Health Department and state AIDS Control Committee, these programmes are being held in the entire district to raise awareness about the prevention of AIDS.

Besides, the head of the group, Pravesh Nihalta, and other members entertained the public through songs and music.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
