A team of the Forensic Department visited the site where school student Kartik was found dead near the Gasoti Khud, near here, today. The team headed by Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Director, Forensic, inspected the site of the incident for various reasons that may have led to the death of 15-year-old Kartik, a resident of Daryota village.

Kartik’s body was found on the banks of a check dam built on the khud near Daryota village. He along with his friends had reportedly gone to the Gasoti Khud for swimming. His father later complained to the police that his son was missing. However, Kartik’s body was found near the stream. Kartik’s parents had on Sunday last alleged a foul play behind the death of their son and demanded an inquiry into the incident.

Kartik’s father Mehar Singh had alleged that his son was killed and he did not drown in the stream. He alleged that his son was pushed into deep waters of the stream.

Sharma said that the team had collected evidence and observed the incident site minutely. The team would submit its report only after a careful study of the observations. Additional SP Rajesh Kumar also accompanied the forensic team to the incident site.

Meanwhile, SP BS Thakur said that a case had been registered and a probe started into the incident. A team of the Forensic Department was called for a thorough investigation into the incident, he added.
