Former up-pradhan of Bhel gram panchayat in Barsar subdivision of the district allegedly ended his life by shooting himself with his own gun yesterday. The deceased was identified as Vikram Singh (52) of Ambota village. He remained up-pradhan of the panchayat from 2006 to 2010. The deceased was running a grocery shop in the village

SP Bhagat Singh Thakur said a case had been registered and further investigation was on. The body would be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
