Mandi, February 16
SHO Rajesh Kumar, posted at Hatli police station in Sarkaghat, Mandi district, has been suspended. He was found drunk on duty. There were complaints of negligence against the police officer. It forced DSP Chanderpal Sharma to conduct a visit in the police station on Saturday.
During his visit at the police station, the DSP found the SHO absent from duty. The DSP later visited the rented room of the SHO, where he was found drunk. Taking the serious note, the DSP suspended him and shifted him to Police Lines.
SP, Mandi, Gurdev Chand Sharma said, “I have asked the DSP to submit a report about the SHO to me and, thereafter, an inquiry will be initiated against him.”
Meanwhilw, a cop was also suspended by SP, Kullu, Gaurav Singh for dereliction of duty. A departmental inquiry has been initiated against him
