A ‘Legal Service Authority Camp’ was conducted at village Tikkar Buhla near here today to observe World Social Justice Day which falls on February 20 every year. Civil Judge Aneesh Kumar while addressing the camp said people having annual income less than Rs 3 lakh can seek free legal help as justice should be ensured to every section of society. Kumar said to make justice easily accessible, the National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) has started a number of programmes. He added that providing free legal aid is NLSA’s top priority.

He said providing legal help to people of the SC/ST category, women, children, specially- abled, disaster affected, atrocity victims, transgender section and even imprisoned was few of the many responsibilities of NLSA.

Kumar informed that these services could be easily availed by visiting front office of any court in the respective jurisdiction.

Kumar said in many instances, long-term cases were resolved by mutual consent of the clients, saving time and money for both of the parties.
