Kangra, May 24

The Kangra airport will resume operations from tomorrow onwards. The district administration has made all preparations for the medical checkup of passengers before sending them to institutional quarantine centres.

DC, Kangra, Rakesh Prajapati said all arrangements had been completed to receive passengers from Delhi and Chandigarh and medical teams would be deployed for their screening.

Prajapati said symptomatic passengers would immediately be taken for sampling while asymptomatic ones would be kept at institutional quarantine centres in the district.

The samples of asymptomatic passengers would be taken after five to seven days. He said a mock drill was also organised under the supervision of the SDM, Kangra, to check the preparedness.

Director, Kangra airport, Kishore Sharma said there would be two Air India and one Spice Jet flights connecting Delhi-Dharamsala and one Air India flight would shuttle between Dharamsala and Chandigarh.
