Students, teachers and staff participated with great enthusiasm, filling the morning air with energy and excitement. The run was flagged off by Vice-Chairman KK Mahajan, Principal Ashok Kumar Guleria and Chamba SHO Surinder Kumar, who inspired the young runners to adopt sports as a way to build confidence, discipline and perseverance.
In the boys’ category, Atharv Mehta secured the first position, followed by Bhuvan Singh Thakur and Aditya Thakur in second and third place respectively. In the girls’ category, Shreya Sharma claimed the top spot, while Karuna Chandra and Mahi Thakur finished second and third. Principal Guleria congratulated all winners and participants.
CBSE capacity-building workshop held
A two-day capacity-building workshop on Social Science (Secondary), organised by the Centre of Excellence (COE), CBSE, Panchkula, was successfully conducted at DAV Public School, Hardaspura on October 11 and 12. The workshop was led by CBSE resource persons Subhra Rani and Kalpna, who guided participants through an enriching series of sessions focused on enhancing teaching effectiveness and aligning classroom practices with modern educational standards.
Rehan DAV students run for fitness and unity
Nurpur: DAV Public School, Rehan, in the neighbouring Fatehpur Assembly constituency, organised a ‘Run for DAV’ marathon on Sunday to promote physical fitness, health, peace, unity and social responsibility among students.
The event was flagged off by the school principal, Rashmi Jamwal, who lauded the students for their spirited participation and urged them to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. Nearly 600 students took part in the marathon with enthusiasm, showcasing the school’s vibrant sports culture.
In the boys’ category, Jatin clinched the gold medal, while Sujal and Surjal shared the silver and Arpit took home the bronze. Among the girls, Ashima secured the gold medal, Arushi won silver and Rishika and Nivedita shared the bronze. — OC
