The 37th Inter-School Gita Declamation and Gita Shloka Recitation Competition was organised recently by the Geeta Ashram Committee and the Geeta Adarsh Vidyalaya at Solan. School chairman LK Bansal lit the ceremonial lamp, followed by a musical recitation of the 11th chapter of Bhagwad Gita by students.

Students of 31 schools participated in the declamation contest. Shagun of Government Senior Secondary School, Shamrod, bagged the first prize, while Arunima of Army Public School, Dagshai, stood second and Sanket Kumar Ojha of Rajlakshmi Samved Gurukulam Sainik School, Nalagarh, secured the third place. Anjali of Government Senior Secondary School was given a consolation prize.

In the shloka recitation competition, Akshita Jha of Durga Public School bagged the first prize, while Devansh Parmanand of Rajlakshmi Gurukulam Sainik School, Nalagarh, stood second and Bhargavi of Dagshai Public School stood third.

Rajlakshmi Samveda Gurukulam Sainik School, Nalagarh, clinched the overall winner trophy.
