In a statement issued here today, Mahajan said that the closure of government schools amid the coronavirus pandemic had ruined the academic session of the students and the ongoing online studies were a mere eyewash.

“The state government boasts of successful online studies during the pandemic but the ground reality is far different. Most of the government school students belong to poor families and are unable to afford smart phones,” he added. — OC
