Nahan, August 2
Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khimta has called upon the banking sector in the district to take up the social responsibilities alongside their financial goals. He emphasised the importance of considering social obligations, particularly while disbursing loans.
He urged banks to provide loans generously under various government schemes to ensure that eligible beneficiaries received the support they needed.
DC Khimta made these remarks while presiding over the District-Level Review Committee and District Advisory Committee meeting held as part of the annual credit plan review.
Khimta urged the Agriculture Department, along with the banks, to conduct awareness camps across the district. — OC
