The annual prize distribution function of Dhaliara Government College, the second-largest college in Kangra district, was celebrated with enthusiasm. The event witnessed the presence of Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa as the chief guest, who felicitated meritorious students for their achievements. Dehra SDM Shilpi Bekta also attended the ceremony as a special guest.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr Anju Chauhan highlighted that over 300 students were felicitated for their excellence in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. She emphasised that these awards not only acknowledge students’ hard work but also serve as motivation for their future endeavours. Dr Chauhan also reflected on the college’s rich history, present growth, and future plans.

In his address, DC Bairwa appreciated the talent and enthusiasm of the students, commending the college for its progress in academics and extracurricular activities. He expressed confidence that the college is on its way to becoming one of the finest institutions in the district. Encouraging students to participate in both academics and sports, he also urged the college authorities to promote professional courses among women students under the self-financing scheme. Motivating the students, he emphasised the importance of dedication and goal-setting for a bright future.
