Sports Minister Yadvinder Goma and Deputy Chief Whip in the Assembly Kewal Singh Pathania yesterday welcomed the state government’s decision to shift some government offices from Shimla to Kangra. They said that the Cabinet had approved the relocation of the Wildlife Wing of the Forest Department from Shimla to the CPD KFW Project Office building in Dharamsala. Besides, the headquarters of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) would also be moved from Shimla to Dharamsala. “The relocation of these offices will help ease congestion in Shimla and support balanced development in Kangra,” they added.
