Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil today said that state-of-the-art equipment, including CT scan, X-ray, ultrasound and other diagnostic machines, would be procured and installed in medical colleges and model health institutions within a month.
Shandil, while chairing a meeting of the high-powered purchase committee here, said that the government had decided to add quality items to the baby care kits provided to newborns in government as well as private institutions. “The process for the procurement of these kits is in final stage and these will be made available in hospitals in August,” he added.
