BJP state vice president and former minister Govind Singh Thakur alleged that cases of cattle smuggling are continuously coming to the fore in the state, but the government does not seem to be taking any strict action in the matter. Addressing a press conference here, he said recently a truck loaded with cattle was seized by the locals at Rahni Nala on Rohtang Pass road.

He alleged, “About seven cow smuggling cases have come to the fore in six months in the tribal district Lahaul and Spiti.” He further alleged that a large number of cattle had gone missing from the Rohtang Pass area and the matter should be investigated.
