The BJP has accused the state government for shifting the government offices from Kangra. BJP’s state spokesperson Sanjay Sharma today alleged that instead of strengthening the institutions of Kangra district, the government is weakening them. The latest example of reducing the staff from the office of Architecture Wing in Dharamsala, which is already battling with shortage of staff.
It is once again an attack on the interests of the people of Kangra district by the government and it reflects the mentality of the government. Government wants to weaken Kangra district politically and administratively, he said.
The Architecture Wing already had very less staff as compared to Shimla, but to what extent is it justified to transfer the posts from there to Shimla. By changing 8 out of 18 posts from Mandi zone to Shimla, the government is also discriminating against the people of Mandi, he added. If we talk about other subjects too, the indifference of the government is beyond understanding of the public.
The government not giving Rs 30 crore to the Forest Department for construction of the North Campus of Central University in Dharamsala, shows the ill will the Chief Minister has for the district.
Even in this Budget, there is no mention of any plan or provision for Kangra district. There are some announcements which have no basis on the ground.
Not only this, the government has left no stone unturned in harassing its own political party leaders in the district. In the coming days, the people of Kangra will take revenge from the Sukhu-led government for the administrative, political and economic oppression, and he added.
