Himachal Governor calls on PM Modi, apprises him of key initiatives in state

Shukla apprised the PM of the coordinated efforts involving educational institutions, civil society, police administration and local communities to combat drug abuse and safeguard the youth of the state.
The Governor also informed the Prime Minister about the progress of the TB-Mukt Himachal initiative, under which sustained awareness drives, timely screening and enhanced medical interventions were being undertaken across districts with active public cooperation.
The Governor discussed several development oriented and public welfare issues concerning the state. Matters related to infrastructure improvement, welfare programmes and other subjects linked to the long-term interests of the state were also deliberated upon. The Governor expressed gratitude for the continuous support being extended by the Central government for the holistic development of Himachal Pradesh.
