Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have congratulated the people of the state on the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

In his message, the Governor said, “The festival of Raksha Bandhan not only plays a pivotal role in strengthening the bond of love, but also creates a cordial atmosphere in society as a whole.”

The CM said: “Raksha Bandhan symbolises the love and affection between brother and sister and strengthens the pious bonds of brotherhood.” He said this occasion was an opportunity to promote peace, harmony and brotherhood in the state and the country as well.
