Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar released the calendar and the diary of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, at Raj Bhavan. The Governor also released the coffee table book of HPU. While appreciating various publications of the university, the Governor said the coffee table book, wherein achievements made in various fields in the past three years had been listed, was useful for the readers. Vice-Chancellor Sikander Kumar and UGC member Nagesh Thakur were also present on the occasion.

NCC cadets honoured

Commanding Officer Colonel Suneet Shankta felicitated NCC cadets Ashish and Rituza Kulkarni of 7 HP NCC (I) Company, Shimla, by presenting mementos at the NCC Headquarters, Shimla, for their performance at the Republic Day parade in Delhi. Associate NCC officers, CTOs, Army personnel and NCC cadets of all units of Shimla Headquarters were also present at the ceremony. Shankta said cadets Rituza and Ashish was awarded the DG NCC Commendation Card for their performance at the parade. Shankta said the cadets of NCC, Shimla, always participated in cultural programmes and social work. He said the NCC helped in character building of students and prepared them for all walks of life.

Training programme at Shoolini varisity

The Faculty of Management Sciences, Shoolini University, has launched a Skill, Training, Entrepreneurship Programme for BBA and BCom students. The programme aims at bringing experts from industry and academia, and has been meticulously designed as per the industry requirements. New learning models will be introduced for students. It is being monitored by Chancellor PK Khosla, VC Atul Khosla, and Dean of Management Dr Kuldeep Rojhe.
