State government employees today said that the 3 per cent DA announcement made by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu lacked clarity. “The announcement of 3 per cent DA, effective from May 15, has created confusion among employees. It has raised concerns regarding the fate of the pending DA installments from July 2023 and January 2024. Additionally, there is uncertainty about how the arrears from last year’s DA announcement will be disbursed,” said an employee leader.

He said, “If the government has decided to grant July 2024 DA, there is no clarity on when and how the previous two installments will be provided.”
