In a statement issued here today, Thakur said Nambardars had not received their honorarium for the past 10 months, causing great inconvenience to them in managing their daily expenses. “When the Chief Minister says that the Congress government is here to change ‘vyavastha’ it is very true as never before has there been a system where people are not getting their dues,” he remarked.

He said there were reports of MBBS students doing internship at the Nahan Medical College not getting the stipend, which is very unfortunate. “A majority of these doctors manage their finances from the stipend money and not receiving the stipend makes it very difficult for them to manage their day-to-day affairs,” he said.

He said it is not just the Nambardars and MBBS internship students who have not received payments but there are many other such sections of people in various departments who are awaiting their dues. The same situation is being faced by employees working on various outsourced and temporary posts, he added.
