The complaint was filed by Kalyani Gupta, presently serving as Assistant Commissioner (AC) to the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Keylong. Gupta stated that she took charge of her current post on July 7, 2025, after serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Dy CEO), Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (HPSRLM), in the Directorate of Rural Development, Shimla, from June 2022 to July 5, 2025.

Gupta alleged that on September 27, she was informed by Raghav Sharma, Director of Rural Development, about a government sanction order dated September, 2025 carrying her forged signature. She clarified that since she was already posted in Keylong during that time, the document is forged. She also stated that there might be a possibility that more such forged documents may have been created.

Acting on the complaint, a zero FIR was registered in Shimla under Sections 318(4), 335, 336(1), 336(2), 336(3), 336(4), 340(1), and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. Police have launched an investigation into the matter. — TNS
