Govt working to create inclusive society: Shandil

Health, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dhani Ram Shandil today said that the state government was working towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society, where every individual had access to opportunities for growth.

Shandil chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Mahila Vikas Nigam and a meeting of the Board of Directors of the HP Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation here. The meetings were held to review and strengthen the initiatives aimed at economic growth and social welfare of women, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

The minister emphasised simplifying loan procedures and making them more accessible. “By providing subsidised loans and simplifying the loan process, the government aims to promote economic growth, entrepreneurship and self-employment among these communities,” he added.

Earlier, he chaired a meeting of the HP Koli Samaj and discussed the construction of a Koli Samaj Bhawan at Rajhana in Shimla.
