Shimla, May 28
Senior CPM leader and Theog legislator Rakesh Singha today demanded a judicial probe by a sitting high court judge into the alleged corruption charges levelled in an audio clip in connection with former state BJP president Rajiv Bindal who had resigned from the party post taking a “high moral ground”.
CPIM leader Singha raised the issue of corruption against Bindal in a video on a TV portal here today.
Singha alleged that Bindal’s resignation from the BJP post was a sham. “All the alleged land deals in Solan, Sirmaur etc, in which the BJP leader’s name had surfaced earlier, should also be probed by the judge to unearth the truth,” Singha demanded.
He said the Vigilance inquiry was not the solution, the matter should be probed by the sitting high court judge as the corruption charges were of serious nature and related to public health in the wake of coronavirus.
