Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s family was in panic after they heard a gunshot and a loud noise outside their residence in Manali around 11.30 pm on Friday.

Sensing something wrong, one of Kangana’s family members called the police. A police team arrived there but did not find evidence of any mischief. But the actress feared the gunfire was an attempt to scare her after her recent statements in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

Kullu Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that the police had checked the footage of CCTV cameras installed at her house and nearby hotels to detect the movement of anti-social elements in the area. But after a thorough investigation, no suspicious activity was detected.

He said that no security had been deployed outside the residence of the actress.
