Akshit Chauhan, a student of Gautam College, has brought laurels to the institution by winning the gold medal in the Inter-College Judo Championship-2025 of Himachal Pradesh University, held at Government Post Graduate College, Solan, on Sunday. A second-year BA student, Akshit demonstrated remarkable strength, skill and determination to claim victory in the 100 kg weight category.

Congratulating him on the achievement, Jagdish Gautam, Managing Director of Gautam College, said, “This is a proud moment not just for our college but for the entire region. Akshit has exemplified individual excellence and showcased the true sporting spirit of Gautam College. We wish him continued success and hope to see him excel at the state and national levels.”

The college management reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing both academic and sporting talent, emphasising that Akshit’s success reflects its focus on holistic development.
