Priyanka, a teacher of Biology at DAV Public School here, was recently awarded the Best Teacher Award by the Federation of Private Schools and Association of Punjab (FAP), in Chandigarh.

This year, FAP felicitated 337 private school teachers during the opening day of the fourth FAP National Awards, which witnessed the participation of teachers from schools of 17 states and 3 Union Territories.

Priyanka was honoured with the award by Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, who is also the chancellor of Chandigarh University. Chandigarh University VC Dr Manpreet Singh Manna, FAP president Dr Jagjit Singh Dhuri and Punjabi singer-actor Gurnam Bhullar were among those present at the event. — OC
