Hanging hoarding not removed

A broken iron frame of a hoarding at School Bazaar Road, along a pedestrian path in Mandi town, is posing a threat to the commuters. The frame has been hanging precariously from many days, but the authorities have shown no interest in either fixing or removing it. The Municipal Council should remove the hoarding from the area immediately, as it could fall anytime and cause injury to the commuters. — Vijay Kumar, Mandi

Monkey menace on the rise

Monkeys have become a nuisance for people in the Kotwali market area of Dharamsala. A few days back, on the Gurdwara road of the market, a monkey attacked a child, leaving him badly injured. Had people not come to the rescue of the child, he could have sustained serious injuries. The monkey menace is on the rise in the entire town, but the authorities have not done anything about it. The Dharamsala Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with the Forest Department, should launch a campaign to curb monkey menace in the city. — Vivek Gandhi, Dharamsala
