The event, held at the historic Gaiety Theatre, is set to conclude on June 11.
The exhibition is spearheaded by Garima Lohumi, a talented self-taught artist hailing from Shimla. Under her brand, Himalayan Canvas, Garima has expanded her artistic expression beyond traditional canvases, specialising in stunning Himalayan landscape paintings. Visitors to “Harmony in Hues” can explore a diverse collection that includes large canvas paintings capturing the seasonal beauty of the Himalayan region, alongside hand-painted epoxy-coated key rings, fridge magnets, tote bags adorned with exclusive art prints, iPhone covers and exquisite epoxy-coated wooden wall hangings.
A particular highlight of the exhibition is Garima’s series of paintings displayed in ornate vintage wooden frames, complementing smaller works in modern frames and adding an elegant touch to her nature-inspired art.
Garima’s journey to becoming a full-time artist is noteworthy. After completing her MBA and a postgraduate degree in Yoga from the Sivananda Institute, she left a corporate career with a multinational company to pursue her passion. Her self-taught approach to art has garnered widespread admiration for the depth and vibrancy of her Himalayan landscapes, with her works finding patrons both in India and internationally, including in Qatar and Canada.
