Renowned litterateur and cultural activist SR Harnot will be honoured with the Narendra Singh Negi Highest Culture Award by the Uttarakhand Lok Samaj in September.

The award, presented annually on the birth anniversary of legendary folk singer Narendra Singh Negi, recognises individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of language, literature, culture and social causes in the Himalayan states.

Ganesh Khugshal Gani, a representative of the organising committee, said this year’s honour is being bestowed upon Harnot for his “multi-dimensional contributions in literature, culture and environmental conservation.”
