The Hatkoti-Paonta Sahib national highway (NH-707), which was closed to vehicular traffic after a tanker containing coal tar overturned on the road near Dochi village, has been restored for vehicular traffic after 12 hours.

On Thursday evening, a tanker travelling from Shimla to Tiuni overturned after the driver lost control over the vehicle near Dochi village. As a result, the road was blocked, disrupting the traffic movement on the road. The driver suffered minor injuries due to the incident.

District administration officials reached the spot and immediately started the work to clear the road. Three hydra-cranes were deployed on the spot to remove the tanker. The workers also cleared the coal tar that had spread on the road after the tanker overturned.
