A number of people are benefitted by the health fairs being organised under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This was stated by former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal at a health fair organised at Tauni Devi civil hospital near here today.

He said people should go for regular health check-ups for early detection of any ailment so that they could be cured at an early stage.

The former Chief Minister also appreciated the ASHA worker for their service during the Covid pandemic. He said it was due to the sincere efforts of ASHA workers that ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao Abhiyan’ became a success and resulted in increased sex ratio in the district. He honoured district-level winners of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao mission.

Dhumal said the facility of conducting tests to detect various diseases at a single platform was very beneficial for patients. He said Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur had also provided free health care facility at the doorstep in the entire state under the MP health scheme. He said it was due to his initiative that Sujanpur and Tony Devi civil hospitals were provided with ambulances and drivers.
