Uprooted trees also fell onto the roads, further obstructing traffic and causing long delays.

Commuters heading to work this morning were left stranded, as mounds of earth, boulders, and fallen trees blocked several major routes.

Many were forced to take long detours or abandon their travel plans altogether.

Vehicles could be seen lined up on both sides of affected stretches, waiting for the roads to be cleared.

A two-wheeler rider was reportedly stuck on the Dharampur-Kasauli road after a heavy downpour this morning triggered a sudden flow of muddy water, uprooted trees, and debris from the hillside. A 50-meter stretch was rendered impassable, prompting many travelers to take the alternate route via Sanawar to reach Kasauli from Dharampur.

Authorities are working to clear the debris and restore normal traffic flow, though continued rain poses ongoing challenges.
