This spell of heavy rain is very likely to trigger landslides and mudslides as well as waterlogging in many areas of the state where an orange weather warning has been issued. People have been advised to avoid going to vulnerable areas and areas that face the waterlogging problems frequently. People have also been advised to avoid going near water bodies, avoid trekking and to limit outdoor activities.

The Meteorological Department has mentioned that no major changes will be recorded in minimum and maximum temperatures as they are most likely to remain normal during the next few days.

Meanwhile, monsoon activity was normal over the state with heavy rainfall in isolated areas and light to moderate rainfall at many places during the past 24 hours.
