HGCTA flays SDM’s orders

Bhaderwar, about how a majority of their school staff contracted Covid. The administration, in its order, said laxity on part of the school administration while observing the standard operating procedures could be responsible for the same. The association said it was not possible to follow social distancing in educational institutions. The government was taking wrong decisions and making teachers and principals a scapegoat, it alleged.
ABVP hails action against VCs
The ABVP has welcomed the action against the vice-chancellors of private universities in the state. ABVP’s Rahul Rana said they had been raising their voice against the irregularities in the private universities for many years and the action was a result of its long protest. The ABVP, he said, had been saying that the reason behind irregularities in private universities was the appointment of unqualified people at high posts in violation of the UGC guidelines in this regard.
SFI submits memo to Pathania
The ABVP and the SFI submitted a memorandum to Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania about the difficulties being faced by students in colleges in Chamba district. Besides demanding the restoration of the SCA elections, they apprised the minister about several other problems being faced by the students. While the ABVP demanded starting PG courses in Chamba college, the SFI demanded filling of vacant posts of teachers.
