BJP state president Dr Rajeev Bindal on Sunday visited the disaster-affected areas of Jamnighat and Jhilbanka Bada in Haripurkhol panchayat of Nahan Assembly constituency. During his visit, he interacted with the affected families and assured them of every possible help in the difficult times they are facing.

Speaking to the people, Dr Bindal said that human beings remain helpless before the forces of nature. “Natural calamities cannot be stopped by human effort, but sharing grief can reduce the pain of those who are suffering,” he remarked.

He underlined that in a democratic setup, whenever people are struck by tragedy, it becomes the foremost responsibility of elected representatives and the government to come forward and stand with them. He alleged, however, that during this calamity the Congress-led government and its elected representatives have failed to meet the expectations of the people.

Dr Bindal reassured the villagers that the BJP family stands firmly with them in this hour of crisis. Several party workers accompanied him during the visit, extending solidarity to those affected.
