Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and state BJP chief Suresh Kashyap today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for increasing the MSP of kharif crops for 2021-22. The decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by the Prime Minister yesterday at New Delhi.

The Chief Minister said the MSP for paddy had been increased from last year’s Rs 1,868 per quintal to Rs 1,940 whereas for A grade paddy, it had been increased from Rs 1,888 to Rs 1,960. — TNS
