After walking and hitchhiking all the way from Nagpur for 10 days, six persons from Chamba district — they were stranded in Nagpur — reached Himachal Bhawan in Chandigarh today.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur directed officials of Himachal Bhawan to provide them free lodging and food and arranged for their free transport from Chandigarh to Chamba. He spoke to them on the phone and assured them of all possible help. A Tempo traveller had been arranged for their journey to Chamba.— TNS
