Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur is likely to be discharged from AIIMS, New Delhi, in a couple of days.

A government spokesperson said the Chief Minister’s reports were normal and he would be discharged in a day or two. Thakur was admitted to AIIMS on Friday following complaints of uneasiness the night before. Before rushing to Delhi, the Chief Minister had visited IGMC for a check-up. The doctors at IGMC had found his reports, like ECH and Echo, to be normal. —

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
