Himachal: Outstanding CBSE results reflect hard work, quality education

Schools across the Dharamsala region have reported stellar performances in the CBSE Class X and XII Board Examinations for the academic year 2024-25, with students achieving top scores and schools celebrating high pass percentages.

Achievers Hub Senior Secondary School, Dharamsala delivered remarkable results. In Class XII, Pulkit Choudhary secured the top position with 94% marks, followed by Princy Thakur with 90%. Out of 52 students, 13 scored above 80%. In Class X, Sharanya Sharma topped with a brilliant 98%, followed by Preshita Kaul with 95%. Additionally, 37 students scored between 80% and 90%. Managing Director Krishna Awasthy lauded the results as a testament to student dedication, quality teaching and strong parental support.

Bhagirathi Das DAV School, Dharamsala celebrated a 100% pass rate in both Class X and XII. In Class XII, Achyut Ranaut and Aryan Rana shared the top position with 89%, while Anant Sharma (85.4%) and Armaan Mehta (84.2%) followed. In Class X, Aarav Kashav led with 97%, followed by Chahat Garg (94%) and Samar Pathania (91.2%). Principal Dr Vipin Jishtu congratulated the students, teachers and parents for the collective success.

Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan saw excellent results as well. In Class X, Satyam Karu secured the highest marks with 97.4%, closely followed by Kritik Sood (97.2%) and Shriya and Aadrit (96.2%). In Class XII, Pradyumn Chauhan topped with 95.4%, while Garima Sharma came in second with 94.6%. Principal Dr Chhavi Kashyap applauded the consistent dedication of students and staff.

Green Field Senior Secondary School, Nagrota Bagwan also reported a 100% pass rate. In Class XII, Shreesha Awasthi scored 93% and Aastha Dhiman 92%. A special mention goes to Shriyansh Sharma, who scored a perfect 100 in Informatics Practices. In Class X, Gunjan Chaudhary topped with 95.4%, followed by Mannat Khosla with 95%. Principal Sudhanshu Sharma commended the students and faculty for their teamwork and excellence.

Lotus International School, Rakkar continued the trend of success with a 100% pass rate. Nishika Singh led the Class XII batch with 97%, and Aanchal followed with 96.2%. In Class X, Svasti Sharma secured the top spot with 96.4%, while Ashmita Jamwal scored 93.6%. Principal Pankaj Sharma extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students, teachers and parents.

These results across the region reflect not just academic achievement but also the strength of the educational ecosystem and community commitment to excellence in learning.

Paras Public School, Bhawarna

Palampur: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class X and XII results on Tuesday and students of Paras Public School, Bhawarna, once again brought laurels to the institution through their commendable performance.

A total of 46 students appeared for the Class X examination. Gouri Thakur emerged as the topper with an impressive 90%, followed by Alisha Katoch with 87.2% and Nandini securing the third position with 85.6%. Supriya and Shivani also performed well, scoring 82.4% and 81.8%, respectively. Overall, four students scored above 80% and eight students achieved more than 70% marks.

In Class XII, students from both science and commerce streams delivered remarkable results. In the science stream, Naman Malhotra topped with 89.6%, followed by Arnav Koundal with 88.2% and Kashish Sharma with 75.6%. In the commerce stream, Muskan secured the first position with 90.4%, while Akshita and Anshika scored 74.6% and 73.4%, respectively.

School Director Shri Mahesh Chander Katoch and Principal Neelam Rana congratulated the students and their parents on their outstanding achievements and extended their best wishes for a bright future.

DAV Public School, BSPS Surangani

Chamba: DAV Public School, BSPS Surangani, has once again demonstrated academic excellence in the CBSE Class X and XII examinations for the academic year 2024-25. The results, declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday, reflect the school’s continued commitment to academic achievement.

In Class XII, 40 students appeared for the examination, with 29 securing First Division. Ishan Thakur topped the batch with an impressive 92%, earning the first position. Akanksha Thakur and Rishit Chaurasia shared the second position, each scoring 90.20%, while Advika Thakur secured the third spot with 89.40%.

For Class X, 34 students took the exams and 28 of them achieved First Division. Sophiya Azad led the group with 87.80%, followed by Aryan Gautam at 86% and Dhruv Kumar Sharma with 84.80%, rounding off the top three positions.

Principal Naresh Kumar Sharma expressed his pride and joy at the outstanding performance of the students. “This remarkable success is a testament to the collective effort and commitment of the entire school community,” he said. He extended warm congratulations to the students, their parents, dedicated teachers, the DAV College Managing Committee (DAVCMC), NHPC Management, the School Chairman, Manager and all stakeholders.

“I wish our meritorious students a bright and prosperous future,” he added.

Shimla Vidyapeeth

Shimla: Students of Vidyapeeth, a prominent educational institute in Shimla, have once again demonstrated academic excellence in the CBSE Class X and XII board examinations, results of which were announced on Tuesday.

In Class X, Dhyana Nag topped with an outstanding 95.80%, followed closely by Ekansh Chauhan with 95.2%. Several other students crossed the 90% mark, including Riddhima Verma (92%), Meghansh Sharma (91.6%), Mayank Thakral and Kaustubh Sharma (91%), and Arnav Nag (90%), highlighting the school’s consistent academic strength.

In Class XII, Parth Pandit stood out with a remarkable 94% overall, scoring 97.3% in the science stream (physics, chemistry, biology). Other top scorers include Himansh Mehta (95.6%), Varunya (94.4%), Ahana Sachdeva (91%), and Ayushi Mandotra and Harsuvrit, both securing 90%.

Dr Ramesh Sharma, Director of Vidyapeeth and Engineer Ravindra Awasthi congratulated the students for their exceptional performance. “This success reflects the unwavering dedication of our students, the hard work of our teachers, and the strong support from parents,” they said.

They further added that Vidyapeeth’s legacy of discipline and quality education continues to inspire academic brilliance. Encouraging students to set new goals for the future, the leadership reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing talent and fostering holistic growth.

St Edward’s School, Convent of Jesus and Mary, Chelsea

Shimla: Schools in Shimla celebrated exceptional achievements as CBSE declared the Class X and XII results for the academic session 2024-25. St Edward’s School and Convent of Jesus and Mary, Chelsea, recorded outstanding performances with several students scoring above 90%, marking a 100% pass rate in both institutions.

At St Edward’s School, Shimla, Aarav Sood emerged as the Class XII topper with 95%, followed closely by Amrit Pal Singh with 94.2% and Rudransh Ranta at 93.2%, securing the second and third positions, respectively.

In Class X, Aadhvik Mokhta led the charts with an impressive 97.6%, while Advit Sharma and Harshul Sharma followed with 97.4% and 96.8%, respectively. The school reported a 100% pass result in both board classes.

Meanwhile, Convent of Jesus and Mary, Chelsea, also posted stellar outcomes across all streams. In the humanities stream, Tanzil Dhapola topped with 97.4%, followed by Krisha Dhanta (97.2%) and Arnima Bhapta (97%).

In the science stream, Priya Thakur led with 92.4%, while Ria Verma (88.8%) and Vedaa Sharma (87.6%) claimed second and third positions, respectively. The commerce stream saw a tie at the top with Panika Verma and Venya Dutta both scoring 88.2%, and Anjlina Chauhan followed with 84.6%.

In Class X, Maitri Sharma topped with an outstanding 98.4%, followed by Akshiti Dhiman (97.4%) and Parisha Kapil (97.2%). Principals from both schools congratulated the students, parents and teachers for their hard work and dedication, which made this academic success possible.

Lahaul and Spiti students record 100% results

Shimla: The students of Lahaul and Spiti registered a cent percent result in the Class X and Class XII resulted announced by the CBSE. It’s the only district in the state to record cent percent result.

In Class XII, Una district recorded the lowest pass percentage, with just 85.65 per cent students clearing the exam. While the pass percentage among girls is 90.11, only 81.14 boys cleared the exam. In class X, the pass percentage in all districts is over 90 per cent. Kullu district recorded the lowest pass percentage with 94.87 percent students clearing the exam.

In class X, girls have secured better pass percentage than boys, except for district Bilaspur and Kullu, where boys have performed slightly better. As for Class XII, girls have outperformed boys in all the districts. In the Una, Solan and Mandi districts, the pass percentage of boys dropped below 90 in Class XII.
