Himachal Pradesh is set to be gripped by cold waves as temperatures across the state are expected to drop by 3°C in the next few days. According to State’s Meteorological Department, the weather will continue to remain dry across the state until November 2, while minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to fall by 2°C to 3°C in the next few days.

Meanwhile, the weather was mostly dry across the state during the past 24 hours, with most places experiencing a sunny day. Shimla, the state capital, recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4°C, while prominent tourist destinations Dharamsala and Manali recorded minimum temperatures of 13.8°C and 5.4°C, respectively.

The minimum temperature in Solan was 10°C, Kangra 12.6°C, Mandi 13.6°C, Bilaspur 14.9°C, Hamirpur 12.5°C, Kufri 7.1°C, Nahan 14.8°C, Bhuntar 9.1°C, Narkanda 6°C, Reckong Peo 6.6°C, and Kalpa 3.8°C. With a maximum temperature of 30.7°C, Una was the hottest place in the state, while Keylong, the headquarters of the tribal district Lahaul and Spiti, was the coldest, recording a minimum temperature of -0.2°C.
