Himachal Pradesh is expected to experience another spell of heavy rainfall starting October 4, following a yellow weather warning issued by the state’s meteorological department. The warning applies to October 4-6, with specific districts under alert on October 4, including Kangra, Bilaspur, Una, Sirmaur and Chamba.

A fresh western disturbance is predicted to impact northwest India, including Himachal Pradesh, from October 4, leading to heavy rainfall in isolated areas. This weather system is likely to cause maximum temperatures to drop by 2°C to 3°C.

Meanwhile, the weather was mostly dry across the state during the past 24 hours. Minimum temperatures were above 2°C to 6°C, ranging between 5°C and 25°C while maximum temperatures were above 2°C to 7°C, ranging between 20°C and 36°C.

Shimla recorded 25.2°C, Dharamshala 29°C, Manali 25.6°C, Kangra 32.2°C, Mandi 30.6°C, Bilaspur 33.9°C, Hamirpur 30.9°C, Nahan 29.5°C, Solan 30.2°C, Bhuntar 32°C, Kufri 20.3°C, Kalpa 24°C and Narkanda 20.8°C.

With 35.2°C maximum temperature, Una was the hottest place in the state while Tabo in tribal district was the coldest as it recorded 5.2°C minimum temperature.
