Heavy rain continues to wreak havoc across Himachal Pradesh as total loss in the state has reached Rs 739.12 crores.

As per the Revenue Department, as many as 175 roads across the state remain blocked for vehicular traffic. As many as 136 roads are blocked in Mandi, 14 in Kangra, 11 in Solan, six in Kullu, five in Una and two in Chamba districts. Similarly, at least 162 power distribution transformers, including 151 in Mandi, nine in Kullu and two in Chamba; and 755 water supply schemes, including 603 in Kangra, 137 in Mandi and 15 in Sirmaur district remain disrupted.

Meanwhile, heavy rain in isolated areas is very likely to continue till July 15 as the state’s Meteorological Department has issued a yellow weather warning for July 10, 13, 14 and 15.

As per the State’s Meteorological Department, the state would continue to experience light to moderate rainfall at many places till July 15 with a few spells of heavy rain at isolated places on July 10, 13, 14 and 15.

Meanwhile, heavy rain occurred in isolated places while light to moderate rain continued at many places of the state during the past 24 hours. No big change in minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded in the state.

Nahan received 70 mm rain which was the highest in the state followed by Bangana in Una district which received 60 mm rain. Sarahan in Shimla district recorded 40 mm, Dehra Gopipur in Kangra 30 mm, Rohru 20 mm, Manali 13.4 mm, Dharamsala 10 mm and Shimla 1.2 mm.
