The Himachal Pradesh University today extended the deadline for submitting online applications for direct admission to PhD programmes (without entrance test) for the session 2024-25 to October 14.

An official notification regarding this order was issued by the university authorities. As per the notification, students can fill up and submit the online forms till the aforementioned date.

Earlier, the university had set October 7 as the deadline for the same.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
