In a historic moment, eight young skaters bagged seven medals across multiple categories in the 20th National Ice Skating Championship that took place in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, from June 25 to 30. Around 543 participants from 21 states participated in the championship.

Amyra Sood, a student of Loreto Convent Tara Hall, bagged the gold medal in the Starlet category (girls) while St Edwards School’s Amay Sood won the bronze medal in the Starlet category (boys). In the Rising Star category, Loreto Convent Tara Hall’s Saviona Doger and Vrinda Chaudhary won the gold and silver medals, respectively, while Vanshika Chaudhry, ex-student of Loreto Convent Tara Hall won the bronze medal in the same category.

In the Pre-juvenile category (girls) Paavany Kuthiala, another student from Loreto Convent Tara Hall, bagged the silver medal. Savani Doger, another student of Tara Hall, won the bronze medal in the Pre-Novice category (girls) and Aprisha, an NRI, a representative of Himachal Pradesh, won the gold medal in the Basic Novice category (girls).
