Roads closed and no electricity, but this “brave” girl from Lauhal and Spiti wouldn’t have missed her exams for anything.
So she decided to walk in two-three feet of snow to give her Board exams.
A video of a schoolgirl traveling with her father to take her board exam in Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh has gone viral on social media.
The video showed her struggling to walk in deep snow but she would not give up.
Netizens have saluted the enthusiasm and inspiration of the “brave” girl. One said: “Holding so many hopes, she is eager to be disciplined and take the exam.”
The board exams which began later last month would end by the mid of the March.
Snowfall in the higher reaches of Himachal has crippled daily life in the tribal Lahaul & Spiti and the Kinnaur districts while 350 roads, including 4 national highways, were closed.
The 81 tourists stranded in Spiti Valley in Lahaul and Spiti district were on Sunday night shifted to and accommodated in different hotels and homestays there, the police said in a statement.
About 290 roads are blocked in this tribal district and several areas are without electricity for the past two days.
Heavy rain and snow in Lahaul and Spiti has also disrupted the cellular network as well.
