Six sites were auctioned by the Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) at a profit of over Rs 65 lakh at Barotiwala today which included a site for opening a school at Atal Shiksha Kunj.

DAV management secured the auction for the educational institute among three bidders which had come forward. The site was auctioned for Rs 9.11 crore.

Chief Engineer HIMUDA Surinder Vashisht who oversaw the auctions said three shops were auctioned for Rs 26.45 lakh each and another for Rs 26.75 lakh at Kalu Jhinda while a commercial site for opening a booth at Mandhala was auctioned for Rs 11.90 lakh. Three sites for shops,however, did not find buyers and the authority will hold another auction for them. All six sites were auctioned for Rs 10.29 crore which was about Rs 65 lakh higher than the reserve price.
