According to reports, Raveena (35), a panchayat member from Kathla ward, was returning home with her 14-year-old son, Sujal Negi, after picking him up from school in Chawai. After travelling by taxi to Poonan, they began walking around 200 metres uphill towards their home in Kathla village. However, large stones suddenly tumbled down from the hillside and struck the woman and her son and they died instantly.
